Toothpaste and toothbrush
Body wash/soap and shampoo/conditioner
Shaver or shaving stick
Medication (prescriptions) or over the counter necessities
Light jackets despite the weather
Passport and/or Birth Certificate and ID 
Glasses or Shades
Flats or Sneakers
Small travel size cologne or perfume
magazine/book and cellphone
A pair of light socks despite the weather
No jewelries or keep it simple

Try to minimize everything because when traveling space is premium so small sizes or amounts are okay. Remember hotels are frugal these days so from my experience; I don't rely on my hotel or resort, I try to take everything I may need along with me.]]>
